MMM Founder, Sergey Mavrodi has allegedly written an open letter to the Federal Government of Nigeria explaining the benefits of the scheme. The letter was displayed on the page of all participants of the Scheme. Recall the the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had warned Nigerians against participating in the scheme which it described as a “Ponzi”. The House of Representatives in October also ordered an investigation into the operation of the scheme. . . According to the letter, Mr Mavrodi implored the government to look at the benefits of the scheme rather than be against it without knowing how it was helping Nigerians.

 He insisted that if the government was really interested in the welfare of the Nigerian participant, then the scheme should be left alone arguing that MMM was helping the over 3 million Nigerian participants. Open Letter from Sergey Mavrodi to the Nigerian Authorities Honorable authorities, So far MMM has come under a constant attack from you. In this regard, I would like to ask you a few simple questions. Since you are concerned with the interests of millions of your fellow citizens, I hope that  you would be so kind to answer them. . . 

 1) What are you trying to get? Do you want the MMM System to collapse and millions of people to suffer? Who will support them then if now MMM is their only means of livelihood? Will you? You even don’t pay wages to people? Or might you not care about them? Might you be using a trendy topic to make a good name for yourselves? What will you say to a mother who will have no money to buy food for her child? Will you let her child die for the sake of the higher interests of the economy? . .

 2) You say that MMM is a scam. What is the scam here, if all members are warned in advance about all the risks, the possible and impossible ones? They know there are no investments at all. The warning is a red text on a yellow background placed on most prominent place of the website."

Boyfriend stabs lover to death for refusing to make him ‘next-of-kin’ to her account in Rivers state Officials of the Department for State Security DSS in Rivers state yesterday arraigned one Sotonye Martin, the boyfriend to a female staff of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Sophia Phillips Horsefall, and two others, Innocent Oluche and Wachukwu Ugochukwu, before a Port Harcourt magistrate court, for allegedly stabbing her to death on November 8th after she refused to make him, Sotonye, her next-of-kin to her bank account as well as her refusal to give him one million (N1 million) he had demanded from her. . . According to Vanguard, Sotonye who has a 13 year old child with the deceased, lured her to his friend, Innocent Oluche's house where she was killed. After the act, the men dug a shallow grave, invited Wachukwu Ugochukwu, a spiritualist to perform some rituals and then buried her. Counsel to the DSS, C.S. Eze told the court that the accused were brought before the court on a three-count charge which included “stabbing to death with a jack knife and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Law, Laws of Rivers State 1999.” The accused persons did not take plea. Chief Magistrate F. Alikor after hearing the submission of the DSS Counsel, referred the casefile to the state Director of Public Prosecution, saying her court did not have jurisdiction to entertain matters over murder which was the second charge. She ordered that the suspects be remanded in prison and adjourned the case indefinitely. Speaking to newsmen after the case was adjourned, elder brother to the deceased, Amatu Phillips, accused Sotonye of murdering his sister whom he had dated for 13 years, because of her wealth.

 He claimed she had some money in her account and confided in the boyfriend who later kept on pestering her for financial support. According to him, after the sister had allegedly given him money several times, he came again demanding for N1 million which she refused. He alleged that the boyfriend later lured her to his friend’s house, offered her a fruit juice drink which, unknown to the sister"

The result of your research work can be used for further research works either to support it or to disagree with it. Most university undergraduates today, don't even bother to do a proper research work , they copy from old projects and change the identity of the owners.

"Man Loses His Hands After Torture By Herbalist In Lagos. .

A 26-year-old man, Oluwasegun Ayoola, has lost the use of his two hands after he was allegedly tortured by a herbalist in the Oke-Aro area of Lagos State. It was learnt that the unidentified herbalist, who is still at large, tied the victim’s hands and feet and dumped him in a clay pot for three days without food. . . The victim was said to have been released after some family members intervened. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment. Punch gathered that Oluwasegun was cleaning up his apartment on Idimu Road, Ejigbo, when he collapsed and was taken to the herbalist’s shrine by a half-brother, Afolabi. His mother, Mrs. Kudirat Ayoola, said she never knew they were being taken to a shrine on the day of the incident. She said, “My son lives in his late father’s house in Ejigbo; I don’t stay with him. On April 30, 2016, I was called that he had collapsed in the house. My stepson, Afolabi, and a stepdaughter told me to join them because they were taking him for treatment. I never knew it was a herbalist’s house they were taking us to. “When we got to Oke-Aro, they handed us over to a herbalist. I protested, but they said it was for the improvement of his health. They dropped us off and left. “On the following day, the herbalist poured palm oil around my son with candles and some fetish items. He asked my son to kneel down while I should be praying. He brought out a knife and a divination tablet. He said my son had become his meat. “We were alarmed and my son started struggling with him. I screamed for help. 

They started fighting and my son headbutt the man. Some of the herbalist’s associates came and beat up my son. They tied him up and dumped him in a clay pot. He was there for three days.

” She added that efforts to locate a police station in the neighbourhood to report the incident proved abortive, adding that her relatives later came to free the victim. Oluwasegun said the incident had left him disable, saying he depended on his mother for almost everything. He said;" 

"Parents chain 14-year-old runaway daughter

A teenage girl, identified as Onyeka John, has regained freedom after she was allegedly chained by her mother to the burglar-proof bars for about one month.The girl lived with her parents in a rented apartment on Serebe Street, Abaranje, in the Ikotun area of Lagos State. . . The parents reportedly tied up John by the neck and legs for habitually running away from home, which they ascribed to mental illness. Punch Metro learnt that the parents had gone out on Wednesday and locked up the girl as usual. . . On that day, the landlord, Mr. Oladapo Olubajo, was said to have gone to the backyard, where the family’s apartment is located, to check a pumping machine when he saw the girl.The landlord was said to have alerted a resident, who reported the case to the police at the Ikotun division. . . The resident, who begged not to be named, said the girl’s parents eventually showed up at the police station and made statements. He said, “The parents locked the girl up. She is about 14 years old. She was chained naked to the burglary inside the room by the neck and legs. Policemen came to rescue the girl. Her parents later turned themselves in at the station. They said the girl had been a disgrace to the family.” . . The landlord, Olubajo, told punch that he wanted to take up the matter with the parents, but some residents prevailed on him not to.He explained that he met the girl naked in the apartment, adding that the condition she was could frustrate her to commit suicide. . . Olubajo said, “When I saw her chained to the burglar-proof bar, I raised the alarm. The police later got the parents to the station and interrogated them. 

The girl said she had been there for almost one month. 

Her parents moved here a year ago. I have noticed that their behaviour was odd. but I didn’t know they could go to the extent of chaining the ir daughter. . . “People begged me and the police eventually released the girl to them yesterday (Wednesday). The conclusion we reached is that I want them out of my house. They also claimed the girl is mentally ill. Even if she is mentally challenged, was that the right way to go about it?"

He said the initiative would enable the state government to increase the number of Lagosians living in their own homes and reduce slum settlements.He said, “Accessing our housing units had been largely on a cash and carry basis, thereby excluding majority of the citizenry until recently when the mortgage scheme was introduced. . . But a large number are unable to meet the requirements which the mortgage scheme demands. The new initiatives will make houses affordable and accessible to the citizenry.” . . Meanwhile, the state government has started the full enforcement of the Lagos State Road Traffic Law, 2012. 17 year old teen shot twice by boyfriend of a dying gunshot victim he was trying to save . .

A 17 year old Senior at Central High School, Louisiana, Daniel Wesley, was headed home after leaving the Mall of Louisiana when he saw a woman with gunshot wounds, dying on the street. He put on a pair of gloves and searched for the woman’s bullet wounds, looking for the best place to apply pressure. The 17-year-old didn’t have his EMT certification yet, but in the critical moments the first thing that came to his mind was to help stop the bleeding. April Peck,  a 30-year-old mother of two, had been shot by her boyfriend on Sunday,when Wesley saw her but before the teen could do more, Peck’s boyfriend came roaring back in a Chevy Malibu screaming.. “If you help her, I’m going to kill you,” he said, according to Wesley’s mother, who spoke to the Advocate, a newspaper based in Baton Rouge. The boyfriend, Terrell Walker, rammed the car into Wesley, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. The car threw him into the side of an arriving ambulance, shattering his arm and snapping his femur. Injured, Wesley crawled to the median in pain. Not satisfied, investigators say Walker pointed his gun and shot the teen twice. Walker also fired at the ambulance’s crew, but didn’t hit them, before getting in the car and peeling off. First responders ultimately sorted out the injured. Peck,, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she died.  Wesley was taken to the same hospital, and went through two surgeries in three days. 

 The paramedics weren’t injured. Mike Chustz, a spokesman for East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services, said they were barely out of their ambulance when the Malibu crushed Wesley into it. 

They had been flagged down by a motorist about an injured woman in the street and initially thought they were on their way to help an injured pedestrian.

 “It was totally unexpected,” Chustz told The Washington Post. “They all did whatever they could to seek shelter to try to put some distance between them.” Walker was gone when deputies arrived, but investigators initiated a manhunt.

Angry passengers disrupt Arik’s flights at Abuja airport . .

The flight was disrupted for some in Abuja for some hours on Thursday because of the inability of the airline to transport them to their various destinations. It was learnt that passengers of the carrier, who were meant to travel from Abuja to Warri, Delta State around 3pm on Wednesday, could not do so and the flight had to be rescheduled. Punch reports that one of those affected told them the passengers were asked to return to the airport on Thursday, but on getting to the NAIA, the airline announced that the flight had been cancelled. This irked the travellers and made them to stage a protest, as they prevented other passengers of the  airline who were travelling to other destinations from boarding their respective flights around 4.30pm on Thursday."

It all started as a tiny wound, after series of scan it was discovered I had congenital arteries and veins malformations of the hand (AVM)✋ which has ulcerated the only way to stop it from spreading is to fix it from inside,by separating the veins, after 3 surgeries it keeps spreading, then the doctors concluded we cut of the part it has affected, making me lose two fingers,and half of my palm with hopes that's where its going to end..it still keeps spreading now the doctors are saying the only way it might stop is if a lower elbow right hand amputation is done. Those words keeps ringing in my head, its not a guarantee it wil stop...here I am already lossing friends, my family out of funds, spending months in the hospital 🏥. "Slain Footballer's Family Want FIFA To Ban Nigeria, Until The Country Produces Soldier Who Killed Their Son .

Kinsmen of the murdered player of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, Mr. Joseph Izu, have called on the world’s football governing body, FIFA, to intervene in the gruesome killing of the central defender. They urged FIFA to bar Nigeria from all competitions until the government orders the military to produce the killer of Izu. Izu was allegedly murdered in his home country, Okarki in Ahoada West Local Governemnt Area of Rivers State by soldiers in Akinima. Ikechukwu Obuzor who spoke on behalf of the relations of Izu, said the appeal is necessary as the Nigerian government is not doing enough to apprehend the culprits and secure justice for the late footballer. Obuzor, a former Chairman of Ahoada West LGA, is worried that the murder of the footballer has been swept under the carpet, adding that a notable citizen cannot be executed unlawfully. Obuzor said, “I humbly wish to draw the attention of Federation Internationale de Football Association, FIFA, and its President, Gianni Infantino to the Extra Judicial Killing of Joseph Izu, a renowned footballer with the Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan on Sunday, 16th of October, 2016.” “Joseph Izu played for 3SC in the just concluded 2015 – 2016 season and was on vacation like most other footballers in Nigeria for the off season. He was in his hometown, Okarki to enjoy his vacation and could not have been a target of the Joint Task Force (JTF) as he was never a cultist,”he said."

 An elderly woman last Sunday confessed that she had sex with her own son as part of rituals for witchcraft. The granny, whose name could not be identified, made the confessions at Zimbabwean Prophet Sham Hungwe’s House of Grace International Ministries during a church service. She also confessed to practicing witchcraft saying she ‘ate’ more than 70 people, including her own daughters and other close relatives. “I took my son’s virginity. I had sex with my own son sometime ago. I had no option since it was part of the rituals,” she told hundreds of congregants. “I have been practicing witchcraft for a long time and I ate more than 70 people. I also killed my own daughters and I am responsible for my children’s misfortunes,” she said. H-metro reports that the woman, who is from Murewa, was accompanied by her relatives saying she had come to seek deliverance. Nollywood filmmaker and marketer, Seun Egbegbe has been granted bail 48 hours after he was arrested for attempting to steal nine iPhones at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos. Seun earlier today, Novermber 24, was brought before A. J. Atunwa at Roselyne Omotosho Court House in GRA, Ikeja, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

 The judge granted the suspect bail, with two sureties guarantees who have at least N2m in their bank accounts, and property in Ikeja, Lagos. The case has been adjourned to February 8, 2017.

"North Korea to Launch Nuclear Weapon on the Day Donald Trump Becomes US President .

Security experts have warned that North Korea could launch another devastating nuclear test on the same day Donald Trump is inaugurated into the White House in a chilling show of strength. According to Daily Express UK, the secretive state has launched 20 missiles this year alone as it aims to develop a long-range weapon, capable of hitting the US mainland. In a military forum held in Seoul on Wednesday, Lee Su-seok, director of the Center for Unification Strategy at the state-run Institute for National Security Strategy, said: "North Korea may seek negotiations with the U.S. when it completes nuclear tests and reaches the stage of deploying a long-range nuclear-tipped missile. "In early 2017, it is highly likely that Pyongyang will detonate another nuclear device and launch a long-range ballistic missile to reiterate its status as a nuclear power." With President-elect Trump set to be inaugurated on January 20 next year, these latest claims have sparked fears the ceremony could become a target. Trump is not believed to consider the communist state a high priority at the moment, but this recent speculation about the country's nuclear capabilities could spark increased efforts for dialogue and negotiations between the two countries. The hermit state’s leader Kim Jong-un is reportedly keen to speak to Trump, after years of declining relations with Barack Obama's administration. 

 During the military forum, Lee Su-seok also expressed fears about the declining relations between North and South Korea.

 He said: “Inter-Korean relations will remain frosty and strained until the first half of 2017 due to the North's continued military provocations.

Man finds $3.7m worth of gold hidden in a house he inherited

A French man is elated after discovering the house he inherited from a deceased relative in Normandy, was used to hide $3.7m worth of gold, Nydailynews reports. . . Ivie in an attempt to allow Matthew to run away was holding on to my hands backward and in the course of my struggle, Ivie and I fell to the ground and then, Matthew wanted to seize the opportunity to slam the hammer in his hand on me which I dodged and then I noticed he was not relenting the second time after first strike which actually hit ivie, and then she shouted, when saw him trying to raise his hand again, I had to row over ivie and stood on my feet before the security men came to rescue the situation. . . 

Matthew quickly rushed her to a hospital in Surulere perhaps the same hospital the twin was aborted by Ivie and Matthew. . . Ivie has consistently told people that I have not been taking care of the children school fees (find attached the receipts of my children school fees till date for your perusal) and that because they are girls and not boys that was the reason I drove her out of the matrimonial home."

Until May 2016, when my kids where on midterm break, and they came to spend the holiday with me in Yaba that two of my children told me that, every night, one uncle Matthew was always coming to the house to sleep in mummy’s room till the next day and he will buy them suya. . . And when I asked Ivie she initially denied until I showed her a video clip of what the child that she then admitted (see attached our chat for your perusal) and at this time Ivie was still pregnant. . . Since Ivie knew the consequences of her action she begged and pleaded that, she would need to go for confession which she did in June 5th, 2016 at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba. 

There she promised the reverend father Felix never to go back to such life again. . . Two days later I received a phone call from the house help that, Matthew came again to take her out and did not return until late in the night. When I asked Ivie she denied and she beat up the house help as well as collected her phone from her. . . 

At this time Ivie had threatened she was going to flush the babies since I am doubting the paternity of the twin. Because, I asked Ivie if you are pregnant for me and still kept sleeping with another man (Matthew Agbaire) so who own the babies? We would need to do a DNA test to actually know who their father is. . . Three days later, Ivie and Matthew Agbaire went to abort the babies since she was worried that I kept insisting on the DNA of the children.

 When I asked ivie what happened to the babies she said she could not face the shame of having bastard children which am not ready to father and this kept me worried up till now since Ivie could kill children that were already formed (7months) babies."

When the threat of violence was becoming too much, I advised ivie to relocate to her father’s house temporarily till a time that the entire or substantial part of the indebtedness would have been defrayed and the threat of violence most especially on the children of the marriage would stop. . .
After Ivie left our matrimonial home as agreed, we were still meeting on Fridays to Sundays at the matrimonial home in Ajah to discuss our family affairs. And we were during this period still performing our marital responsibility to each other. (evidence to support this assertion with printed copies of correspondence between us and her pregnancy.) . .

"Internet fraudsters confess, “We hypnotise our victims to get their money”

Three suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as ‘yahoo boys’, arrested by the Oyo State Police Command have confessed that they hypnotise their victims before defrauding them of their money. - The suspects (Lanre Sadiq, 26; Sukanmi Daramola, 28; and Opeyemi Adedayo, 26) were picked up in their criminal hide out at Soka area, Ibadan by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad (AKS). - The suspects are said to have been elusive for some time before they were eventually arrested after several days of intelligence gathering and painstaking investigation carried out by the police. - During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being internet fraudsters, adding that they had defrauded many innocent victims – whom they referred to as ‘clients’ – of their hard earned money in naira and foreign currencies. - They also confessed that they often used charms to facilitate their illicit business. This they did by hypnotizing victims and ‘commanding’ them to part with their dollars and valuable properties. They further disclosed that those who had fallen victims included foreign nationals and Nigerians alike. - The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command.

 Mr  Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the arrest, stated that until their arrest, the three suspects were “into cyber crime popularly known as yahoo plus.

The Benin Division of the Federal High Court on Tuesday convicted and sentenced to two years imprisonment the duo of Aigbe Joseph (alias Anthony Styler Malan) and Igbinosa Osazee (alias Albert Lim). . .
 The duo were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on separate charges of possession of fraudulent document containing false claims. Upon their arraignment, the convicts pleaded not guilty to the charge, but later changed their plea to “guilty’’, a statement by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said.. . . Justice O. O. Tokodo consequently convicted and sentenced them to two years imprisonment each without an option of fine effective from the day of their arrest.
The judge also ordered that the two laptop computers used in committing the crime be forfeited to the Federal Government and that after serving their sentences, the convicts should write an undertaking at the EFCC South- South zonal office, Port Harcourt, to be of good behaviour. . . Messrs.
 Joseph and Osazee were arrested in Benin City, Edo State on August 27, 2015 following intelligence report of their involvement in internet scams. Laptop computers and phones were recovered from their homes during a search by EFCC operatives."

Ayeni conjoined twins undergo successful seperation surgery .

Months ago, Caroline Danjuma brought the attention of Nigerians to the plight of conjoined twins who needed medical help .. 

At that time, she wanted to fund their surgical separation through her charity organisation but the hospital refused to give out information .Now, the twins have been successfully separated and though she didn't pay for the surgery, the mother of the kids sent a thank you message to Caroline.Read below . .

Baby Boy Born With Head And Arms Of His 'Parasitic' Twin Attached To Him .

Police kill one, arrest six in Calabar bank robbery

The Cross River State Police Command on Wednesday said it killed one suspected criminal and arrested six others shortly after the hoodlums robbed a micro-finance bank in Calabar.The state Commissioner of Police Mr Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, disclosed this in Calabar while briefing newsmen on the successes recorded by the command against the gang. . . Ozi-Obeh, who paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters, said the incident took place on Tuesday November 15 along Mayne Avenue by Inyang Street in the Calabar South axis of the metropolis. He said the surveillance team attached to the Atakpa Police Division received a distress call from concerned members of the public informing them about the ongoing robbery at the micro-finance bank. . . . “On November 15, 2016, men of the surveillance team attached to the Atakpa Division received a distress call of a bank robbery in Calabar South.“My men immediately swung into action and confronted the gang in a serious gun battle which eventually led to the death of one of them by name Alex. . . . “We also arrested six of them and when searched, we recovered one black Toyota Camry without number plate; one locally made pistol, pump-top handset, phones, ATM cards and others.“Out of the six suspects arrested, one of them is in the hospital receiving treatment after receiving serious gun shots.
