"UNILAG expels 125 students, suspends 73 for misconduct

The University of Lagos has expelled 125 students and suspended 73 students for acts related to academic misconduct and forgery of results.
The names of the affected students were published on the university’s website, UNILAG.edu.ng. . .
Those suspended had penalties ranging from two to four semesters.
This is coming against the background of a protracted conflict between the management and some union leaders who were earlier rusticated. In April 2016, UNILAG students went on the streets to protest the poor living conditions in the school. . . They shut down the campus, saying the school’s management was not ready to listen to their complaints. The union leaders were suspended over their role in the protest.A student, Adeyeye Olorunfemi, was also suspended for his Facebook post that referred to the #UNILAG Vice Chancellor as a disgrace to Obafemi Awolowo University where he (the vice chancellor) graduated from."
