Dear Mr. President,
Investment in education is the platform for sustainable development, however, it is not the solution for immediate eradication of poverty, dis-unity, disjointed and dislocated economy. African proverb says, "person way use Elephant set trap, na him know wetin he wan Catch"
Everything about development of Nigeria and individual /collective achievements depends on the availability of necessary resources and robust economic foundation. While it is important to encourage/ support private universities, it is as important to encourage/ support millions of Nigerians who cannot afford private universities, do not have a degree but possess other strengths and talents that can benefit the economy in equitable proportion.
The National Directorate of Employment initiated by previous government, which provided skills and employment for young people should be reviewed and revamped. It could be modified to allow delivery through educational route with appropriate qualification.Whether at the Local Government, State or Federal levels: the creation of mass employment is essential urgently needed to stabilised the economy. It can be achieved by encouraging and financing the development of SME's, services, manufacturing industries and market economy across all public and private sectors.
Mr. President, the only sin in leadership is limitation without boundary judgement. Then all followers are at risk. You will cease to interest me the moment I find your limitations without boundary judgement . Not yet. I sincerely hope not.
