#savemayowa was a scam! She was sick but was beyond treatment. Her family stole money from Nigerians- LIB

Culled from Linda Ikeji's blog . . This is such a sad thing for me to report this afternoon. Just two days after we were all happy that Nigerians kindly donated to cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed, for surgery she needed for ovarian cancer, LIB just learnt that Mayowa and her family scammed kind hearted Nigerians. You see, Mayowa is really sick. She truly has Ovarian cancer. She's admitted at LUTH but she didn't need money for surgery, because doctors had told Mayowa she was beyond treatment and no hospital in the world could treat her as she was extremely far gone. Mayowa had reached stage 4 and doctors, unfortunately, already told her family she won't survive it and had advised them to take her home. Her family instead used her situation to raise money from Nigerians.
The doctors in LUTH have also denied giving her family a medical report advising her to seek treatment abroad. . . Toyin Aimakhu, who was one of those who spearheaded the fundraising, as you read this, is at LUTH right now with police officers. Some people also went to the family's home and the place is locked up. Will share video from the scene at LUTH, involving Toyin and one other donor later... #SaveMayowa raised over $100k on GoFundMe and millions of Naira. . . We are waiting for Toyin to address this..."

Woman gives Police false bomb alert to stop husband from flying

A woman triggered a false bomb alert at the airport in Geneva because she wanted to prevent her husband from flying away, Swiss prosecutors said on Wednesday.
According to a statement from the prosecutor’s office in Geneva, the woman called the airport’s customs office Tuesday night and said that a person with an explosive would be at the airport the next day.
It said that when the police raided the home, they found “a woman who admitted to placing the call and who explained that she had wanted to prevent her husband’s departure
Investigators traced the call to a home in Annecy, a nearby town across the border in France.
“Before the incident was cleared up Geneva police were conducting strict identity checks on airport passengers.
“ Heavily armed officers were deployed, and several entry points were closed
“Officials didn’t say where the man was flying. Criminal proceedings against the woman have been started in Switzerland and France,’’ the statement said.

PIC.23. FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS OFFICERS, DURING AN INTER-COMMAND PATROL
BETWEEN OSUN AND OYO STATES, IN IBADAN ON TUESDAY (18/8/15).
6029/18/8/15/MO/JAU/BJO/NAN
At least 35 regular marshals of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, have been killed by motorists on highways across the country in the past one year.
The Niger State Commander of the FRSC, Susan Ajenge, who made this disclosure on the floor of the Niger State House of Assembly, said the development occurred when the officers were trying to enforce simple safety regulations on the highways.
She said another staff recently knocked down by a driver while trying to clear obstruction on the highway, is currently battling for life in a hospital.
She said the victim may loose his manhood, having gone through two operations.
The state legislatures had invited the Commander to defend the series of criticisms by the public against FRSC, over allegations of its officials intimidating and harassing motorists in its desperate move to generate revenue for government.
However, Ajenge defended the commission, lamenting that rather than obey simple traffic rules, motorists would turn around to criticise and attack FRSC officials.
