Why couples should have sex in the morning-Nigerian Prof . .

Prof. Musa Yakubu of University of Ilorin has said having sex in the early morning lowers blood pressure and reduces risks of heart attack. Yakubu of the Department of Biochemistry made the assertion in a paper, “Knocking Down the Barriers to Four O’Clock Activities and Reproductive Inadequacies”, presented at the 163rd Inaugural lecture of the university on Friday. He said that having sexual intercourse, three to four times a week, was good for love life.He said “Research has shown that sex boosts immune system by stimulating the body’s first line of defence and production of immunoglobulin A (IgA), against cold and fever,” he said. Immunoglobulin A is one of the most common antibodies in the body system.Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system to fight bacteria, viruses, and toxins. Sex, according to Yakubu also regulates menstruation in women by influencing the levels of lutenizing hormones that control menstrual period and promote better sleep.
He said sex also releases the feel-good chemical, known as oxytocin, which enhances closeness with one’s partner and makes people feel happier for a longer period of time. “Lovemaking of about 20 minutes reduces 150 calories,” he said. The professor of Biochemistry postulated that sex is the most powerful creative force given to human by God for pleasure and deep companionship. Yakubu, however, noted that any marriage in which the man or woman could not enjoy sexual intercourse or satisfy their partner in bed was a dead marriage.
He said lack of sexual satisfaction had led to the collapse of many marriages in Nigeria, and urged couples to seek for solutions to the problem. “Sexual and reproductive dysfunctions are common among men and women in Nigeria, which necessitates regular screening and check-ups,” he said.

Wickedness: Woman Allegedly Punishes Maid Hot Iron, Boiling Water (Photos) .

Facebook user Akwaugo Precious NG Agu, in a recent post shared the story of how the woman pictured above allegedly used hot iron and water on her 10-year-old maid. She didn’t however mention what the maid did but I do not think anything justifies treating another human being this way. Read the post below; . . . WONDERS THEY SAY, WILL NOT END…. This fair beautiful and elegant lady is called madam GOLD in BBA tradefair market Lagos…just imagine how she use hot iron, to iron this this 10years old girl’s body instead of ironing dresses , the poor little girl is her house help and sales girl at the same time as if that wasn’t enough for her she still boiled hot water and pour on her…. What a wicked world we live in…. Beautiful, elegant lady my foot, what makes you beautiful when you have a devilish heart I don’t blame you but rather I blame poverty, because poverty is the only thing that would make this girl’s mother to allow her daughter come to your house to serve you as a maid I bet you wouldn’t do this to your own child If I am federal government, I will send you to live imprisonment with hard labour…..your meals with only be unselected and half done beans without water madam Gold gbakwa oku… . . . Mtchw Here is hoping the Police look into this.

Lady Gaga Announces She's Performing at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show."

Federal Government declares Monday October 3, 2016 a public holiday.

Meanwhile, the independence day anniversary falls on Saturday October 1.

Pray, why declare a public holiday two days after the main event?

When will our leaders understand the concept of productivity, waste, opportunity cost and that important item called man-hours?

Now that we are in economic recession, we should be more concerned with increasing productivity. Not declaring pointless public holidays, two days after an anniversary.

I always wonder if anyone is talking to the President about these things.

Must the people in our critical advisory or leadership positions be always so uncaring or unthinking?

Happy birthday to Kunle Afolanyan

Happy birthday to talented Nigerian actor and producer, Kunle Afolayan. Here's wishing you a lifetime of unending blessings and continuous success always.

Part 1 "Pay my Royalties and leave me alone...Nollywood Actress and filmmaker, Yewande Adekoya calls out Olasco Films on theft and threat to life"- Emiralty Details below...as the said actress sent a broadcast message on BBM few minutes ago.. ............... " Good day Nigerians. My name is Yewande Adekoya-Abiodun. I am a happily married movie producer, screenwriter and actress. I have been practising since 2002 and i am presently a bonafide member of Tampan. I want to beg Nigerians all over the world to pls help me tell Akeem Olatunji Balogun (Olasco films) to leave my life alone. If anything bad happens to me, Nigerians, pls hold Akeem Olatunji Balogun responsible. He has marketed my movies for about six years now and i have nothing to show for it financially. I do not even have a car of my own. He sold igbodudu 1&2, omo elemosho1&2, kudi klepto1&2, Emere, Irawo meji and Kurukuru1,2,3. This man is presently owing me the sum of 2million naira and he has refused to pay because he feels no one can challenge him. He has been owing me since 2014. When he owes you, you dare not ask for your money, if you do, he will start war just like the one he has just started. He is also not the type that signs a contract due to his dubious character. He prefers verbal agreements. He is very influencial in the yoruba movie market, so it is almost a waste of time to report him to anyone there. I know this because i had earlier reported him to several marketers who have rapor with him, still no result. I called the president of the yoruba marketers association, he didn't pick my calls. I was eventually able to speak with his assistant who sympatised with me and then told me that little or nothing could be done about the matter. Olasco has humiliated and oppressed me for too long, and now, i feel it's time to speak up. The last business deal i had with him that really pissed me off was Kurukuru, a three part movie i wrote and produced while i was 8months pregnant in 2015. He released kurukuru online and on DVD in nov 2015, and then claimed we didn't make any profit from the 3 releases of the movie despite the huge success record the movie had.""

I Wasn't Affected By The Charms" -- Pastor Who Demolished Ogun Shrine Recounts Experience

Pastor Adewale Fagbire, who allegedly became dumb after destroying a shrine in Ketu, Ayetoro area of Ogun State, on Thursday, said he was beaten with charms and other fetish objects by traditionalists, but not affected.. . . He said this during a news conference in Abeokuta, on Thursday, that his action was an instruction from God, that he evacuated all the fetish items in the shrine, and that while he was assaulted by the traditionalists, he decided to remain quiet. The cleric said all the charms and other fetish objects used in beating him did not affect him spiritually or physically. He told those in attendance at the conference that his late father, who reigned as the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Taiwo Fagbire, used to take him to the shrine while alive. The Pastor denied media reports that he only regained consciousness after he had been attended to by the traditionalists upon prompt intervention of the Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba Abdulaziz Adelakun. “I was conscious, physically and mentally sound, during and after the incident because God was already with me. I followed the instruction of the Lord to enter the shrine and packed all the items there away.
I followed God’s instruction to be quiet as instructed by God. “God told me to go there (the shrine), create a scene, step aside and watch the film (the unfolding events). They struck me with charms and nothing happened to me. They know the truth, nobody treated me and I spoke when I got to the palace of the Oba,” he said.

The problem is still not over.

"33yrs ago, @kunleafo's dad complained about the same issues that we are talking about now. Just as he argued that the film industry needed Government's attention to maximize the huge potentials that existed in Nigeria, in that sector, other people shouted how the Rubber, palm and groundnut businesses were being neglected because of cheap oil money. Some others complained that we needed to increase our road networks, but government was more concerned about building an airport in every state capital. There was money. The roads were for those who couldn't fly. Railways? Trailer park them no see am you dey ask for driver. Same thing with the education an health sectors. The men in Khaki thought and realized they were in power without getting degrees... "so what are the bloody civilians talking about?" You can see where that neglect has put us now. Rubber gone. Cocoa gone. Timber gone. Groundnut gone. Textile long gone. Sports at the brink. Television broadcasting, going going...."

Blackberry Announces That They Will No Longer Make Mobile Phones Due To Heavy Losses In Last Quarter . . One-time tech giants BlackBerry Ltd will outsource manufacturing of its hardware henceforth, including its flagship smartphone, the Waterloo-Ont.-based company said on Wednesday as it reported another loss and sharp drop in revenue. . . . The company also said chief financial officer James Yersh would leave effective Oct. 1 for personal reasons. It announced former Sybase executive Steven Capelli as his successor. The net loss came to $372 million and worse still, the company’s second-quarter revenue fell 31.8 per cent from last year forcing the board of directors to make drastic decisions as such. . . . As a last resort, in October 2015, Blackberry changed the direction of its handset business by producing its first smartphone running Google’s Android operating system, rather than its own BB10 software. . . . However, owners of the franchise have admitted the device, which featured a slide-out physical keyboard, was too expensive to appeal to a mass market. The company has since launched a less expensive touchscreen-only Android handset, based on a phone released by Alcatel owner TCL.

"REVEALED: Why Rob Kardashian Tweeted Kylie Jenner's Number

Rob Kardashian caused a stir on Monday night when he tweeted out sister Kylie Jenner's number to the world. It reportedly all stemmed from the fact Rob is living separately from Blac Chyna until their daughter is born because they don't want their fighting to affect their unborn baby. . . . The pair are said to have not spoken for months, so Rob's sisters threw them separate baby showers, but Rob then decided not to go to his because he found out it was being filmed. The sock designer was then told his fiancee couldn't go if he didn't, resulting in him lashing out on Twitter. . . . A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Here's what happened: Kim threw the shower. Kylie [was] the one that Rob called and told he wouldn't go to the shower, because she mentioned it was being filmed. He [then] got really upset and told her he wasn't going, but that Chyna still wanted to go. Chyna was all dressed up and ready to go, [but] Kylie then told him that Chyna wasn't invited if he wasn't going to be there. . . . "She said it was his shower and Chyna could come if they were together - but if he was going to screw them by not going, then Chyna couldn't come. That's when Rob exploded. It caused a huge fight between Rob and Chyna too, so that's when Rob went off on Kylie on Twitter." . . . Meanwhile, Rob and Chyna - who also has three-year-old son King Cairo with ex-boyfriend Tyga - are still thought to be an item, and his family are "confident that they will get through it and patch things up". . . . Another source told the publication: "Rob and Chyna are not really broken up, but they are not in a good place right now. Filming the show has been a lot of stress on their relationship. Add to that Chyna's pregnancy and the fact that Rob and his moods go so up and down. Rob really loves Chyna.”

Rather Than Sell National Assets Revise The Budget — Cross River Speaker Tells FG

The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr John Gaul-Lebo, has advised the Federal Government to revise the 2016 Appropriation rather than sell national assets. . . . Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar on Wednesday, Gaul-Lebo said national assets should not be sold to raise funds to bail the country out of its current recession. . . . He suggested that rather than sell the national assets, the Federal Government should revise the 2016 national budget from N6.06 trillion to N4 trillion. He said that the suggestion became necessary following the present economic recession and the challenges of funding the 2016 Budget. . . . He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to work with the National Assembly on the need to revise the budget for optimal implementation. “If the economy is in recession and then the budget that we have is N6 trillion, the first thing to do is to revise the budget to an amount that is realisable. . . . “Mr President should do a budget priority and identify those projects that can be funded. He should look at those projects that can re-engineer the economy and fund them adequately. “If our budget can go down to N4 trillion that we can realise and spend, then it will be better. We should revise the budget rather than selling our national assets,’’ the speaker said.

Nigeria Already Getting Out Of Recession – Adeosun

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has said the country is already getting out of the economic recession, given the pragmatic approaches the Federal Government is taking to reverse the trend. She said this on Wednesday while fielding questions from journalists at the end of a two-day National Council of Finance and Economic Development conference held at the Green Legacy Resort, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta. . . . It was held in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Finance with the theme: ‘Enhancing revenue generation and obtaining best value for money in expenditure.’ Commissioners of finance from the 36 states across the country were in attendance. She noted that since the problems have been identified, and steps are already being taken to block waste, the road to recovery was sure. . . . She said, “We are already getting out of recession because of the actions the Federal Government is taking. “We are investing more in capital than we have ever invested. We are sorting out infrastructure, we are stopping wastage and so the signs of recovery are already there.”She explained that agriculture and solid minerals are already starting to grow, as they are responding to government’s policy initiative. . . . Adeosun said stakeholders from 36 states across the country had brainstormed for two days while resource persons also delivered papers, adding that the economic recovery would be driven at the state and local government levels. . . . She advised finance commissioners and the accountant-generals in the states to compute their balance sheets, which would show their assets and liabilities.

Doctors Stunned After New Born Baby Looks Like 80 Year Old With Wrinkles, And Thick Hair On His Back

A newly born boy who looks like an 80-year-old man has been born in Magura, Bangladesh. The boy who has a rare condition that causes him to age quickly has wrinkles, hollow eyes, a shrunken body and a thick layer of hair on his back. Local doctors were left stunned as to what the cause of his ageing is – but they believe he has progeria. . . . The condition – which affects just one in four million – often restricts children from having a normal life and causes their body to age faster than it should. A doctor, who had been treating him, said: ‘The baby does not look like a new born at all. ‘There are prominent sings of ageing such a excessive wrinkles and rough skin texture.’ . . . Interestingly however, his parents are over the moon with the birth of their ‘miracle’ child and can’t hold back their happiness. Father Biswajit Patro said: ‘We can only thank God. . . . There is no need to be unhappy about the appearance of my son. ‘We will accept him the way he is. We are so happy to have a baby boy in the house. ‘We are already blessed to have to have a daughter. Now we are a family of four. What else can we ask for.’

28 Sept 2016

Motherhood should never be negleted!

THIS STORY IS VERY POWERFUL AND IT TOUCHED ME.
PARENT PLEASE READ...

It was a cool, breezy Friday afternoon at Victoria Secondary School. Students were meant to be in their various clubs while those without a club had the whole period to themselves. Ella, Jumoke and Tolu belong to the 'clubless' group as they call themselves. They always looked forward to Friday Club time so they could have enough time to gist. Their usual meeting point was just beside the school counselor’s office, where they could talk uninterrupted in an atmosphere devoid of eavesdroppers. They knew too well that the School Counselor, unlike other teachers would be at the Girls guide club meeting.

"My Mum almost yanked my head off my shoulders when she saw the love note written by that stupid neighbour of mine," Ella started. "I told her that I had nothing to do with it but she just wouldn't listen. She called me a blatant liar, good for nothing girl, and she wouldn't open her eyes to watch me get pregnant under her roof. Girls, I got the beating of my life!” She exclaimed.

Eeeyah! Jumoke replied. "Why would a mother want to kill her only daughter because of ordinary love note"? She asked. "Anyway Ella, you were a bit careless; how could you have allowed her see it?"
"Jumoke, I have no skeleton in my cupboard so why should I hide the note? Besides, I am not cut out for dating boys while still in secondary school". Ella replied.
Pele o! Now that you were punished for being innocent, is it not better to date cool guys? Jumoke answered sarcastically. "After all, Kunle has been asking you out for months now but you refused. Wouldn't you have been happier if you were punished because of love"?
“Honestly Jumoke, that's the most painful part of the story. I got punished for nothing! My Mum is just too strict and can beat you up at the slightest opportunity". Ella concluded.

Tolu, who had been listening to the conversation without uttering a word, finally spoke.
"Different stokes for different folks"! She said. "How I wish my Mum could just pay a little attention to me! I wouldn't have found myself in this present predicament".
"Predicament?!” Her friends exclaimed.
"Yes o! You know my mum now, she spends her time in her shop and her leisure, partying. She is never around to find out what's up with me or my siblings. Three weeks ago, she had to attend a party with Goke's Mum in Ijebu-Ode, so she told me to stay at Goke’s place for the weekend with my siblings. My entire plea to persuade her to change her mind fell on deaf ears as she screamed that she couldn't leave us alone in the house without adult supervision. Besides, dad was out of the country."
"Didn't you tell her about Goke's sexual advances"? Ella cuts in.
"I told you that she is never there to listen", replied Tolu. "The big for nothing idiot forced himself on me and threatened to kill me if I dare mentioned it to my Mum."

Oh my God! Jumoke exclaimed. "This is so sad! So you won't tell your Mum?"
"I wasn't moved by his threat o! I had been trying to get my Mum's attention since then to tell her, but she just kept ranting about her uncleared goods." Well, I have decided to carry my cross alone since my parents are busy making money"; she replied sadly.

"This is so disheartening", said Jumoke. "This is a serious dilema o!  You get punished for the wrong reasons, ignored when you have issues to address and hailed when you pretend to be a good girl."

Pretend? asked Ella.

Of course! replied Jumoke, "my folks think I am a saint, they would never know otherwise. I am being forced to pray and read the bible daily. Anyway, I enjoy attending choir rehearsals so I could spend some time with my latest guy, Joe. You know he is the Choir director as well as the Pastor's son."
Bad girl! 'Ella screamed'. I hope you won't get caught?
"That won't happen because; I know how to play my cards well. I will behave like an angel at home, as such; they can't suspect any foul play. You know how it is with gullible church folks now; busy attending programs with the assumption that their children are well protected". She remarked smiling. "It's all about the don'ts, without a tangible reason; never up to date on issues in the society.... as if they live in another world". She concluded.

Unknown to the girls, the school counsellor had some work to do, hence; she had stayed back in her office. She overheard their conversation and couldn't help the tear that slid through her right eye down to her face. She remembered her own experience in secondary school, living with strict parents and how she couldn't just wait to get her freedom.

Her long sought for freedom came when she was given admission to one of the prestigious Universities in the country. She remembered how she joined the other 'Jambitos' to paint the campus red, clubbing without any regard for her books. She had an abortion as a fresher which almost claimed her life but was jolted back to her senses when her second semester results came out and she was placed on probation. That was when she remembered the God her parents served and asked for His help. "I could have been thrown out of campus if not for God", she muttered quietly .

She opened the window of her office and called the girls. The three friends were taken aback and with weak knees, they reported to her office.
"Young Ladies, please have your seat; we really need to talk!" she announced as they entered her office. The three friends sat down sheepishly as the conversation began....

Gleanings from this story:
Motherhood should never be delegated. When you consciously or unconsciously delegate your responsibilities to another; you have become a surrogate mother.
Your primary responsibility as a mother is to nourish, nurture and protect your children. After all, that was what your womb did to them while they were still in the foetal stage.
I believe God gave the woman a womb to differentiate her from a man; so that she would know that the primary responsibility of nourishing, nurturing and protecting a child, is hers. The Man is however, expected to team up with the woman in ensuring the proper discharge of these duties.
Create time for your children, no matter how tight your schedule is – make it a physical appointment, not virtual. Don't be an e-mother!
Pay special attention to your teenage girls. The period is a very crucial time in their lives because they are transiting from Childhood to Adulthood. Remember not to treat them as children and at the same time, don't give them total freedom like an adult.
Mothers, befriend your teenage girls! Make them your best friend by creating a friendly atmosphere for them. Be approachable, give them prompt attention and always assure them that you love them and will always be there for them.
Always investigate matters thoroughly. When a child/teen is punished for no just cause; it could stir up rebellion in them.
Ensure adequate protection for them. Don't send them to places that will pose a threat to them. For instance, sending a teenage girl on an errand, unaccompanied, in the evening, is not ideal.
Don't be busy making money at the expense of training your children. Your money won't bury the shame if it eventually comes.
When it comes to spiritual matters, tell them about the Love of God and pray for them to embrace it. However; let your lifestyle show what you preach so that they can be convinced that serving God is real.
Serving God is not about fulfilling Laws, rather; it's about having a relationship based on genuine Love for God. Love for God will make them do the will and commands of God.
Serving God doesn't mean you should not be up to date with issues. Though, you are not of the world, you still live in the world. Never become obsolete to your children; it won't pay you!

Thanks for reading through, I pray that you and I won't fail God in our responsibilities as parents.

If other people can follow her steps, the masses will not suffer much.

"Recession: Queen Wuraola, the wife of the Ooni of Ife, extends helping hands to Nigerians . . In a post on her page, @oloriwuraolaogunwusi, she said: "My fellow Nigerians, I hope you all are having a wonderful a wonderful Tuesday! I can’t help but think of my people today. These are tough times we are living in. With despair all around, and no hope in sight, no food, no jobs, and dreams deferred because basic necessities are tough to provide. . . How can we pull ourselves out of this? Although it is easier said than done, I’m here to tell you to never give up. I know times are tough, but it doesn’t pay to get discouraged. . . I once read that keeping busy, helping each other, and making optimism a way of life can restore faith in even the most dire of situations. There needs to be a change and it must begin with us, no matter how small. . . Visit my Website, www.OloriWuraolaOgunwusi.com and leave me note and/email with subject “It Takes A Village” on how you are currently contributing to making your family, your neighbors and/or community a better place in this recession. . . I will read through them all and select a few whom we can help move forward. Let us be each other’s keepers. Together we can and we will. In God’s Grace, Amen. -Olori Wuraola-Zynab Otiti Ogunwusi. #ItTakesAVillage #OoniofIfe #OloriWuraola #HMWuraola""
