Teen hacked to death for stealing a mobile phone in calabar: Graphic photo!



A boy identified as Chigozie William was Tuesday afternoon hacked to death by an angry mob for stealing a moblie phone around Orok Orok by Mount Zion and robbing somewhere at Uwanse in Calabar South, Cross River State with his other five gang members who fled been killed.
Chigozie, who is said to be in his late teens, according to residents around the area has been terrorising the neighborhood, snatching phones, robbing and raping, and was only released from the Afokang Prison, Calabar last week.
“Tukor” as he is popularly called, met his waterloo when he had at about 12noon snatched a phone and tried running but was overpowered, beaten and subsequently set ablaze by the angry mob.


The former student of Atu secondary school, whose class mates wrote their Senior Secondary school exams last year, is said to have died before the police arrived the scene to rescue him from the mob.
“He came to our school this morning, threatening everyone and even the principal. And ended up collecting the phone of some of the students. He left before the police arrived”, a teacher at Atu Secondery school told our reporter in confidence as he doesn’t want to be named.
The newly posted Police Public Relations Officer of the Force Command in Calabar, Irene Ugbo when called said she’s not aware of the situation but will make findings.
At the time of filling this report, his body had been taken aware by men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).
